After more than two decades working as a registered nurse, I noticed something that kept coming up again and again: most families simply don’t know what they don’t know. Older adults are living longer, yes—but without the guidance and preparation that true independence requires.
Time after time, I watched people reach a point where decisions had to be made quickly—after a fall, a hospitalization, or an unexpected health change—rather than planning ahead in a calm and thoughtful way. And too often, families only realized what they needed after they desperately needed it.
I built The Senior Living Report to change that.
My goal is to help you stay informed, prepared, proactive, and confident—not fearful, confused, or reactive. I want to make it easier for older adults and their families to understand what supports independence, what threatens it, and what can be done today to protect tomorrow.

Founder of The Senior Living Report
With more than 20 years of experience as a registered nurse, I’ve worked in many areas of healthcare and seen firsthand what helps older adults stay independent—and what quietly puts independence at risk. Over the years, I realized something important: most families want to do the right thing, but they often don’t know where to start, what to ask, or how to plan ahead before challenges arise.
I created The Senior Living Report to change that. As a nurse and an older adult myself, I’m passionate about helping people stay informed, prepared, and confident through every stage of aging. My goal is to offer practical, compassionate guidance that honors dignity, promotes independence, and helps families support the older adults in their lives—without overwhelm, confusion, or fear.
Today, The Senior Living Report focuses on health, home safety, medication awareness, fall prevention, daily living skills, and the evolving landscape of aging in America. Everything here is written to empower you with knowledge, strengthen your confidence, and help you make thoughtful decisions that truly support long-term independence.
I’m grateful you’re here—and I hope the articles, guides, and resources you find at The Senior Living Report help you age confidently, plan wisely, and live fully, today and in the years ahead.
